Kawabun is a traditional Japanese restaurant which opened it’s doors over 400 years ago at the time the original Nagoya castle was built.
The food offered were prepared using only the finest quality ingredients.
The restaurant was highly recognized and valued by Owari Tokugawa clans and rich merchants during the Edo period.
There is an old well in the garden of the restaurant which it is believed that it is connected to the Nagoya castle with a secret underground tunnel as an escape route for the Daimyo lord in case of the emergency.
